A beautiful matsutake button.
It's Matsutake (Pine) Mushroom
Time
The elusive Matsutake or Pine mushroom. These mushrooms are hard to find and
while some people look for them poking up through the forest floor others swear
they can find them by smell. As with our Spring
Mushroom Photo Page and our Fall Mushroom
Page here is a selection of photographs we took of the pine mushrooms.
Remember - always get your mushrooms checked by a knowledgeable person before
eating. It's a good idea to eat just a little of an edible mushroom that is new
to you and check for a reaction, then go wild and indulge yourself.
