We are giving our best surf forecasts for Tofino and Long Beach areas. The funny thing about forecasting is that things can shift quickly. North Chesterman may look good on paper but the action's at South when you see the real thing. So, use the forecasts as guides but trust your intuition, it's right more often than you give it credit for.

South Chesterman is a two star day right through so take a look. The swell will be minimal so bring your long. long board and it may be downright flat while you're waiting for a set to roll in, but it's always fun to be in the water on such a nice day! Cox Bay and North Chesterman Beaches are looking windy today, just like yesterday so take a look if you're there becasue it does have a much larger swell happening, but otherwise check into South. Long Beach is a mix of the other two areas today: larger swell like Cox and North, less wind like South, but there's still wind so remember to factor that in. We're not too prtial to wind so heading out to South and if the waves are down, we'll just practice our paddling.

Monday July 26 Tofino Surf
South Chesterman is still quite small in swell size but heat, sun, no wind and a simple two stars so a good day to get into the water - again bring your fave long board and you may have to wait for the sets, but what else are you gonna do? There seems to be an improvement in conditions around noon, so if you're just waking up then, grab a java and head out. Repeat of yesterday at Cox Bay, North Chesterman and Long Beach - Cox and North are wind-city and Long Beach is windy but not as much as the other two - sell size is bigger at these beaches but the wind may make it a messy surf day.
