Located between North and South Chesterman is the Chesterman Spit: A sand spit reaches out from Chesterman Beach to Frank Island and is accessible only at low tide. It’s a nice walk to the edge of the island and one can gaze back at the splendour of Tofino. Great place to view both sides of Chesterman Beach and see the differences. There is an eagle’s nest on Frank Island that has been inhabited for many years and locals look forward to see the young ones each spring. Take a walk out towards Frank Island, just remember to walk back before high tide!
