Grice Bay Road in the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve
Grice Bay Road offers a quiet, beautiful country road down to a rocky beach area that overlooks the inlet vista of Grice Bay. A boat launch is available there for both kayaks and power boats. And it’s high on GoTofino’s favourite places to be for the scenery, the quiet and the cycling.
It’s an inlet experience and an easy access point to view the peace and beauty of Clayoquot Sound. Many people drive down and just drive back out again because it’s not a sandy beach with surf. We ask that you stop a moment, breathe and open yourself to the quiet majesty.
Dog-friendly Pay Parking
Wheelchair Access on paved turn around area but not to beach – or stay in the car and enjoy.
Calm waters of Grice Bay, Pacific Rim National Park, Tofino, BC. Morning and evening are best to find calm water.
This aerial photo of Grice Bay shows our favourite location to hang out, at the bridge just before the end of Grice Bay Road.
! Tip: Our favourite spot is at the bridge just before the end of the road. It’s quiet, calm and beautiful to explore. Often herons hanging out fishing and bears cruising by the shoreline. We like to hang out there.
Kayak around Indian Island (in the left of the photo). It’s perfect day tripper paddle.
