The Blow Hole and Surge Channel are just next door to Halfmoon Bay Beach. When conditions are just right the crashing of the waves are spectacular during Tofino Storm-Watching season. There is a trail at the south end of Halfmoon Bay that leads to rocks that overlook the Blow Hole and Surge Channel. Bring a thermos of something hot and sit back and watch the show. Oh yes, you’ll wanna wear rain gear for this adventure. And please remember that these waves are powerful and dangerous and move quickly. Stay well back from the action and you’ll be telling your grandchildren how amazing it was to witness these west coast storms.
